首先当然要安装了，在Ubuntu下非常的简单（源里就有）

sudo apt-get install wesnoth-all

安装完后就不需要什么设置了，但是有一个语言问题，游戏使用自带的字体不能正常显示中文，不做修改的话，运行后是个乱码菜单。以下是连接系统的中文字体到它自带的中文字体名，操作如下：
sudo apt-get install ttf-arphic-uming
cd /usr/share/games/wesnoth/fonts
sudo mv sazanami-gothic.ttf sazanami-gothic.ttf.bak
sudo ln -s /usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/uming.ttf sazanami-gothic.ttf
